The history of The Court Curio Shop

In 1942 My Great Granny Jean opened an Oriental Importer called The Court Curio Shop, as the war developed the shop had to change also, by the end of WWII The Court Curio Shop was running more like a pawn shop than an importer, moving also into affordable costume jewellery that was all made on the premmses from recycled items, in which we now have 4 generations that have spent many a rainy night stringing beads.

From these early days, The Court Curio Shop has almost decided what it would sell itself, never straying from quality, hand made where it can be (or at least hand finished) and brittish and even harder to supply, Scottish made where possible.
